CAMERA OBSCURA
To make the camera obscure I first got black card and folded it into a box shape and taped it all together.next I cut a small square out from the white card in the middle ,then taped it on to the front of the box. I then taped tracing paper to the back of the box where the picture would be projected on , after that I measured the size of the lens and cut and cut it to size and stuck it in front of the cut out square. finally the box and scenery was ready to be drawn out on the piece of tracing paper.
THE SLR CAMERA
The SLR camera , stands for single - lens reflect camera. It uses a mirror and prism system that allows the photographer to view from the lens and see exactly what will be captured.
P - programme mode means you can fiddle with the shutter speed aperture combo. The aperture and shutter speed combination will give you a good exposure.
M - manual mode on the camera allows the photographer to determine the exposure of an image, this mode gives the user control of either aperture or shutter speed
TV - this isn the shutter speed. slow shutter speed allows more light into the camera sensor which makes the photo blurry. whereas a faster shutter speed helps to freeze motion
AV- apperture mode allows the camera to choose a shutter speed to go with it and will result in a proper exposure based on the lighting conditions.

shutter speed levitation photos, first response

in these classes I was required to create an image looking like we are levitating inspired by Natsumi Hayashi. we used Tv to capture the image quickly whilst my partner is still in the air
WWW: -I had good lighting and took the photo at a good angle EBI: - I would like to take photos in a different and more interesting location also I need to take the picture at a better moment so his legs would be straight when he first jumps |
second response
|
EBI:
-I should go to a different location for a brighter image and make my shutter speed faster for a more clear and non blurry picture. |
third response
|
WWW:
-we was successful with our levitational pictures because we had better lighting and we had our camera on auto focus and shutter speed mode. EBI: -want to get a full body image , also create more of a shadow under my partners feet |
Francesca woodman
Francesca Woodman was an American photographer best known for her blurry black and white photos.Francesca blurred her photos to create movement and was inspired by surrealism , fashion and first started taking photos when she was 13 years old.Her father George was a painter , her mother Betty was a sculptor and her brother Charles is a electronic artist.
slow shutter speed

|
In this task I was required to use a slow shutter speed to create a blurry image inspired by Francesca Woodman.
As I was taking this I got my partner to keep his body still and move his head fast for this outcome.
WWW:
-I was able to get the blurry image I was planning to get
EBI:
-I should recreate more of Francesca woodman work by getting a moving image also I would like to try find a background that is more dark , messy and dirty to get a more similar image to Francescas

photos with aperture mode
first response:
Today in my photography lesson my aims were to have a main object and a blurred busy background also to have my partner against a plain wall.
WWW:
-I was successful in getting a clear and bright picture and also a blurred out background.
EBI:
-next time I need 3 people in my photo and take twitch different shutter speeds

Rule of Thirds
today we was required to include the rule of thirds whist taking pictures to make it more interesting.
composition
this term means putting together and can apply any work of art.
today In class our task was to find objects that look similar to the composition
WWW:
-I was successful in finding things that look similar to the shapes
EBI:
- I could be more creative with the objects I was choosing I also could of made them myself with sticks m rocks etc.

Gifs
in class we used tripods for our gifs to avoid the camera moving.
WWW:
- the lighting was good and so was the hight of the tripod. I also captured the image at the perfect time.
EBI:
-maybe I could go to a different location where the lighting won't change as much as it did in m first gif.

1st response
in this task today I was required to re create light painting images.the ISO was on F11 and the shutter speed mode on bulb.
WWW:
- I used a tripod to avoid camera shake and we made the room dark so the light would show up more affectively.
EBI:
-another way to help get a brighter light painting was to repeat the shape we was making with cameo out well. next time me and my partner would make the shapes less messy.
